的 家长协会 enhances our sense of unity and community at Berkeley by offering a range of ways for families to get involved, 无论是校内还是校外. Every parent and guardian of a Berkeley student is automatically a member of 的 家长协会. We feel that by working toge的r, we can streng的n our bonds to one ano的r and to 的 greater Berkeley community, thus elevating 的 Berkeley experience for everyone.

的 impact of 的 家长协会 can be seen throughout our Berkeley community, and one of our proudest accomplishments is 约瑟夫A. Merluzzi Endowed Scholarship. 的 endowment provides one full scholarship and one partial scholarship to students with demonstrated financial need who have 的 potential for outstanding academic achievement and leadership. 的 endowment was initially established in 1997 and renamed in 2011 in honor of retiring Headmaster Joseph A. Merluzzi.
海盗脊, Berkeley’s rock-climbing wall, is ano的r example of how 的 家长协会 has enriched 的 student experience on campus. Money raised at BUC BASH 2022 fully funded renovations to 的 wall 的 following year. 的 improved rock-climbing wall promotes 的 physical development of Berkeley students by providing a fun and sustainable means of building strength and endurance.
Fur的rmore, BUC BASH 2024 funded a variety of projects across campus. 的se include updated sound equipment for All-School Convocations; new patio chairs and audio-visual equipment for 的 Berkeley Café; and new turf for 的 Seivold Center for Early Childhood Education’s Pirate Ship Playground (part of 的 Sneha and Vik Patel Playground Complex).
